During the regular season, captains must challenge a bat as being illegal prior to the start of a game for a bat to be ruled illegal.

During the tournament, only bats that are considered ASA approved can be used: http://www.asasoftball.com/about/certified_equipment.asp

Each team may add a substitute female player during the regular season (ie. ensure you have 1 or 2 females in the line-up and in the field). Please advise the opposing captain before the game to identify your substitute player. During the Tournament, any substitute female players must be approved by the league prior to game day.

Lastly, and VERY important, for 2010, the league had to sign a no alcohol at the diamond agreement in order to receive our field permits. As such, if your team's actions leads to the league receiving a letter of warning from the Town of Markham, your team will be suspended from the league for the remainder of the season and all of your prior games will be made into 7-0 losses.
